Saturday, April 10, 2010. Sorry its been a while since my last update and a lot has happened. So this may have to be a brief overview once again. and possibly full of typos due to the fact Im using an Arabic keyboard. Emil and I killed some time by wandering around a fairly industrial part of the city until we found a grocery store and stocked up on some bread and cheese and had ourselves a nice break people watching and enjoying a meal after being on the go for the past 12 hours or so.

In addition to the Klukwan School and community library. Klukwan hosts many courses around traditional knowledge, languages, and traditional arts. Chilkat Lake is located about 30 miles west of Haines, AK in the Chilkat Valley. The Lake is remote with only river access. To get into the lake you have to travel by jet boat or floatplane in the summer and by snowmobile in the winter. The public road system ends approximately 2 miles from the lake and from there you travel by boat or snowmobile into the lake. There are no public utilities. All food, supplies, materials are brought in by one of the methods above.
